Agents are a gameplay mechanics in the Total War series. By utilizing subterfuge and clandestine means such as espionage and assassination toward enemies, players are able to gain information, influence and advantage in campaign and in battle. The mechanic appeared as Undercover Network in Total War: Three Kingdoms.
