Allied Cavalry is a type of heavy cavalry unit available to the Macedonians in Rome: Total War: Alexander.
Description[]
The allied cavalry were composed of men drawn from many of the Greek states which made up the Corinthian League. Though unlikely to be of quite the same outstanding quality as the Companion or Thessalian cavalry, it does seem likely that they were medium to heavy cavalry probably armed with spears and wearing cuirasses. As such they are best deployed against an enemy's flank or rear or against disordered or fleeing troops.
As with most cavalry units, charging spearmen head-on with this unit is unlikely to make a commander popular back home in Greece!
