Altar of Artemis is a temple building chain in a Total War Saga: Troy. These can be built exclusively in province capitals. Only a single temple can be built in each province. Each temple built earns 10 additional favour gained from a hecatomb. Each new temple also increases the cost of a hecatomb by 25%. Temples enable the recruitment of priestesses. Every temple increases the capacity for fieldable priestesses by 1 up to a maximum of 3.
Description[]
Artemis was the goddess of the hunt and twin sister to Apollo. Together with her brother, she invented the bow and arrow, which she was said to wield with great skill. A virginal deity, she swore an oath to Zeus to keep her maidenhood forever, never taking a consort nor bearing any children. She was known to savagely guard the purity of her followers as well, killing any who would dare defile them. Likewise, when her long-time hunting companion Orion attempted to take away her robes, she showed him no mercy and killed him on the spot.
