Amazon Archers

Amazon Archers are a type of infantry unit in a Total War Saga: Troy.

Description[]

The preferred type of bow in Anatolia during the Late Bronze Age was constructed from bone, wood and horn glued together. This composite weapon was more sturdy and flexible, and could fire with greater power despite its compact size. The chariot was the favoured mode of transportation of archers, as it offered a much more stable mobile firing platform than on horseback. One persistent myth about the Amazons claims that they amputated their own breasts to perform better at archer, this legend is unlikely to be true, as the practice would have led to major health risks with no discernible benefit.

Cannot use if	Being deployed or on a structure. Out of ammunition.
Effects	• Fires a volley of arrows at the selected area that affects any unit moving through • Spends a unit ammo for each volley
Area of effect	20 metres (radial)
Uses	Dependent on ammunition
Cooldown	All soldiers have finished firing
