Armoured Chargers

Armoured Chargers are a type of infantry unit in a Total War Saga: Troy.

Description[]

While Achaean heavy infantry typically relied on helmets and shields for defence, the Late Bronze Age saw the introduction of improved metal armour offering full-body coverage. Fashioned out of bronze and held together by leather thongs, this state-of-the-art protection offered a full range of motion by pushing Achaean metalworking to its limits. Despite this, movement remained cumbersome due to the suit’s weight, this rendering wearers vulnerable to a light swordsmen charge. For this reason, heavy infantry was best deployed in conjunctions with light infantry to guard the flanks.
