Bingo is a province in Total War: Shogun 2.
Located on the south coast of Chugoku, Bingo is not outstandingly wealthy but has a strong naval tradition. Goods are shipped throughout Japan and to foreign powers. When the Mori conquered the province during the Sengoku Jidai, they constructed Mihara castle, also called Ukishiro “the floating castle”, to monitor traffic through the Seto Inland Sea. The castle would become an important base for Imperial Japanese Navy in the Meiji period.
Total War: Shogun 2Edit
Bingo's below average soil prevents it from becoming a particularly wealthy province, but its naval tradition, combined with its fairly close proximity to trade nodes, can greatly help factions that control it generate trade profits.
Bingo is a potential early target for the neighboring Mori Clan, whose advantages at sea are further bolstered by the experience the naval tradition buildings grant.
Bingo borders Aki to the west, Iwami to the north-west, Izumo to the north, Hoki to the north-east, and Bitchu to the east. To the south over a body of water lies Shikoku, making Bingo a natural staging point to invade Shikoku from (and vice versa).
