Dahae is a minor non-playable faction featured in Rome: Total War: Alexander. They inhabit the region above modern day Afghanistan but are playable in skirmish and multiplayer battles.
Overview[]
Dahae appears on the campaign map, but is one of the several unplayable factions for the campaign. Like all the barbarian factions, their unit roster is small but has enough of a spread to get by. Their missile infantry are good enough, with either slingers or archers at their disposal, while heavy infantry is plentiful in the form of Barbarian Swordsmen and the great Barbarian Sickle-men, a good, well rounded heavy infantry unit. However, they lack any good cavalry units other than their general unit, since Barbarian Cavalry is only light cavalry and will thus not be capable of taking on heavy cavalry, relying instead of Barbarian Spearmen to defend their flanks and missile infantry. Dahae and the other barbarian factions have a tough time due to their limited unit pools and lack of solid cavalry.

Trivia[]
- Dahae is the only playable barbarian nation in skirmish battles.
- The reason for this is because each barbarian faction has identical unit rosters, all that changes is their flag.
