Epirus is a sub-faction of the Greek States faction featured in Total War: Rome II. They can field Royal Hellenic Cavalry, Tarantine Cavalry, and Hellenic Royal Guards.
Faction Bonuses[]
Greek States Faction Bonus:
Classical Heritage: +2 to cultural conversion
Fierce Independence: +10% melee defence for all units when fighting in own or allied territory.
Hellenstic Culture: Shares culture with Factions: Macedon, Seleucid, Athens, Sparta, Epirus, and Pontus. Shares culture with Sub-Factions: Pergamon, Ardiai.
Sub-Faction Bonus[]
Molossians: Claiming descent from the mythical Molossus, the Molossians settled in Epirus following the sacking of Troy.
Hellenic Mistrust: Major diplomatic penalty with all Hellenic factions (cultural aversion)
Guardians of Dodona: Public order bonus (maximum of +4) from presence of Hellenic culture
Village Confederation: +10% wealth from minor settlements
Other Families: The Synedrion is a small governing and advisory council of the most eminent Greek nobles, picked by the king himself. Sometimes its membership is expanded by admitting city representatives as well.
In-game Encyclopedia Description[]
The Greek-speaking Kingdom of Epirus is ruled by the Molossian Aeacidae dynasty who claim descent from Achilles and Deidamea. They are certainly warlike enough to be the sons of Achilles! The Epirots are now fortunate in their choice of rivals: they can rescue Magna Graecia from the Roman yoke, or look to take on Macedon and the rest of Greece.

- Philosophy: Increases tax rates, public order, cultural conversion. Improves agent actions. Lowers corruption.
