Farmer Housing is a Agriculture building chain in Total War: Three Kingdoms unique to the Yellow Turban Rebellion. It provides income from peasantry, population growth and at later levels food production as well as lowers population growth in adjacent commanderies.
Building Chain[]
Refugee Shelters (level 1)[]
Fortune has not been kind to China; suffering from the ravages of a war of a divided empire, famine, drought and floods, the people are increasingly disenfranchised, with many losing their livelihoods and homes. This massive uprooting of the populace – fleeing disaster and searching for new homes – displaces many and causes them to become drifters. Seeing the people’s plight, the Yellow Turbans have established refugee shelters for the unfortunate, lending a hand in lieu of the so-called leaders of the land.

Basic Peasant Accommodations (level 2)[]
The workers are the backbone of the land and when they suffer, China suffers. Heaven’s judgement is punishing China with flood and famine and many have lost everything to disaster. To survive, they are forced to roam the land, looking for new opportunities. Basic homes have been established here, so people can rebuild their lives by farming the land. This attracts many new people to the area, and with it, earns their loyalty towards the Yellow Turban cause.

Peasant Family Houses (level 3)[]
Balance and harmony are achieved when the people work together with the land, taking and giving in equal measure. The land needs people to till it and raise crops, especially in these times of droughts and famine. Evacuees, drifters and former farmers come here looking to start their lives anew. These houses are large enough that the refugees can bring extended families with them, to remain together and set down roots. Not only does this grow the population in the area, but the crop yield also.

Peasant Communes (level 4)[]
To ensure a healthy yield, each small job and responsibility must be approached with equal diligence and care. Should one step be rushed or fumbled, no matter how insignificant, it can put the entire crop in jeopardy. As China relies on the peasant community to produce their food, so too should it value each peasant as vital and equal if harmony is to be restored. Those who live in a peasant commune all share in the responsibilities, resources and profits, granting them a greater stake in what they produce. More food is produced, and the population grows steadily as a result.

Walled Peasant Housing District (level 5)[]
A housing district for the peasants that work in the field can accommodate a larger number of people, and therefore hands, in the field. Farming is long, hard work and requires a good deal of mental and spiritual commitment to manage the physical toll. Prove to the peasants that their wellbeing is important by providing homes for them, and they will work with heart and will as well as their bodies. Here, peasants are better placed to enjoy the fruits of their labours and the divide between work and living is reduced, meaning better crops and a fairer and more harmonious society.
