Indian Medium Cavalry are a type of heavy cavalry unit available to the Indians in Rome: Total War: Alexander.
Description[]
Though mounted on slightly heavier horses than light cavalrymen, Indian medium cavalry can still muster a fair turn of speed as they wear no heavy armour to hamper their mounts. They are ideal when deployed against light troops such as skirmishers, and for delivering unexpected charges into the rear of enemies who are already engaged, though heavier troops will punish them for their lack of armour. Whilst they cannot match the pace of true light cavalry in a straight race, medium cavalry are capable of giving a nasty surprise to any such horsemen who are incautious enough to stray too close.
