Biography[]

An advisor of Yuan Shao born in Guangping County, Julu County. Ju Shou was known for his ambition and strategic acumen. He proposed grand plans to Yuan Shao, including conquering multiple provinces and bringing Emperor Xian to Ji Province.

However, Yuan Shao, in his infinite wisdom, often ignored Ju Shou's advice. Ju Shou strongly opposed dividing Yuan Shao's territories among his sons, foreseeing the impending chaos. Naturally, as usual, his warnings were completely disregarded along with his various advises following many battles.

Ju Shou was captured by Cao Cao's men while Yuan Shao's forces were retreating after their defeat. When he was brought before Cao Cao, he remained stubborn and refused to surrender. Cao Cao not only did not harm him, but also treated him well even though he was a prisoner-of-war. His refusal to surrender and the respect Cao Cao showed him, despite being a prisoner-of-war, highlight his unwavering loyalty to Yuan Shao.

Ju Shou was later killed by Cao Cao's men while attempting to escape and return to Yuan Shao.
