Goddess of Fire[]

TW3K Goddess of Fire

Goddess of Fire interface

Goddess of Fire is Lady Zhurong's unique faction resource. It ranges from a minimum of 0 to a maximum of 18 and is divided into four tiers. When Goddess of Fire reaches its maximum, it can be spent to use Wild Fire. It is gained passively with each season yielding a different amount gained. These are:

  • Winter: +1 Goddess of Fire gain at end of turn
  • Spring: +4 Goddess of Fire gain at end of turn
  • Summer: +5 Goddess of Fire gain at end of turn
  • Harvest: +3 Goddess of Fire gain at end of turn
  • Autumn: +2 Goddess of Fire gain at end of turn

The four tiers of Goddess of Fire are as follows:

Kindled Ember (0-2)

  • No effects

All great infernos must begin as quiet embers, barely crackling above the noise of the world.

Growing Flame (3-6)

  • -2 morale for defending enemy forces

A single flame, though small at first, is enough to eventually engulf the world.

Rising Fire (7-12)

  • -3 morale for defending enemy forces

Once a light is struck, the resulting flame only grows, threatening to consume all it touches.

Unstable Inferno (13-18)

  • -4 morale for defending enemy forces

A conflagration spirals out of control, feeding on the wind and the earth. It is unstoppable.

Wild Fire[]

TW3K Wild Fire

Wild Fire being activated

Upon reaching 18 Goddess of Fire, Lady Zhurong can use Wild Fire. Wild Fire is a passive effect that lasts for five turns before Goddess of Fire is depleted and it cancels. The effects of Wild Fire depend on the season in which it is activated. Note that Lady Zhurong is semi-forced to use Wild Fire and cannot save up her maximum amount of Goddess of Fire for long before incurring penalties where characters will receive heavy faction-wide satisfaction penalties.

The five different effects of Wild Fire are as follows:

Wild Fire - Winter

  • +8 diplomatic relations with all factions
  • +30% melee evasion
  • +2 Towers (pre-battle deployable, land battle)
  • +50% ranged firing rate
  • When Wild Fire is active, Goddess of Fire always decreases by -4 per turn

The glint of winter's blade is seen once more, a piercing cold that drives to the very core.

Wild Fire - Spring

  • -10% melee evasion
  • -3 mustering turns
  • Enables: Stalk
  • +40% melee attack rate
  • When Wild Fire is active, Goddess of Fire always decreases by -4 per turn

Winter's sharp edge is dulled, and nature cautiously peers eagerly from branch and burrow.

Wild Fire - Summer

  • +50% melee armour-piercing damage
  • +50% melee damage
  • +8 public order
  • +50% battle running speed
  • When Wild Fire is active, Goddess of Fire always decreases by -4 per turn

The heat on high pounds down upon the land, and all wilts beneath its humid power.

Wild Fire - Harvest

  • +75% melee armour-piercing damage
  • +75% melee damage
  • -50% melee evasion
  • +15% income from all sources
  • When Wild Fire is active, Goddess of Fire always decreases by -4 per turn

The bounties of the earth have burst forth; as the world cools, we receive the rewards of our toil in the field.

Wild Fire - Autumn

  • -30% construction cost
  • +50% melee armour-piercing damage
  • Ability: Crippling Blow
  • +30% charge bonus for all units
  • When Wild Fire is active, Goddess of Fire always decreases by -4 per turn

The world turns to the colour of bronze as the powerful heat of summer ebbs away into the horizon.

Starting Situation[]

Rise of the Warlords (190)[]

TW3K Lady Zhurong 190

190 - Lady Zhurong (Orange), Yunnan Tribes (Red)

Lady Zhurong believes that only through her might – inherited, they say, from the goddess of fire herself – will her people succeed where others have floundered. The pride of her lineage weighs heavily upon her, but Zhurong does not let such responsibilities overwhelm her. She sees the languorous and bloated valley kings, and vows not to grow as indolent. Her followers – loyal to the death – combined with her own skill, will protect her lands and her people against the very gods, if need be!

Start: Normal

Lady Zhurong starts the campaign in Yunnan commandery. She is at war with the weaker Yunnan Tribes to her east, who should pose little challenge to her. After defeating them, she will be dragged into a war with Ahuinan where she can ally with King Meng Huo, which would be her greatest ally. Her position is relatively far removed from potential dangers and she can capture minor Nanman factions that surround her at her own pace. However, if her relationship with Meng Huo breaks down, he will prove a powerful enemy.

A World Betrayed (194)[]

TW3K Lady Zhurong 194

194 - Lady Zhurong (Orange), Ahuinan (Red)

Lady Zhurong believes that only through her might – inherited, they say, from the goddess of fire herself – will her people succeed where others have floundered. The pride of her lineage weighs heavily upon her, but Zhurong does not let such responsibilities overwhelm her. She sees the languorous and bloated valley kings, and vows not to grow as indolent. Her followers – loyal to the death – combined with her own skill, will protect her lands and her people against the very gods, if need be!

Start: Normal

Lady Zhurong starts the World Betrayed campaign in Yunnan commandery. Her situation hasn't changed too much since 190. She has gained a single county and is at war with Ahuinan. She is still surrounded by minor Nanman factions that, while somewhat stronger, should still pose little challenge to her. King Meng Huo has great relations with her and will make for a steadfast ally if needed.
