Starting Situations[]
Mandate of Heaven (182)[]
Prince Liu Chong is a warrior whose dedication to his people is matched only by his formidable skill in battle. Whilst other imperial princes choose not to actively govern, Liu Chong gladly rules over his territory, and through his energetic nature and genuine concern, is beloved. As trouble now brews in the imperial court and in the provinces, Liu Chong knows his primary concern is for his people. A prestigious warrior, unafraid of a fight, he readies himself for whatever may come with confidence and zeal!
Start: Easy
Liu Chong controls a decent amount of land in 182, centred in Yingchuan commandery. After defeating Looters under Shen Chen, Liu Chong will start building his power, quickly rising to become a Second Marquis and finally a normal Marquis. Before long, he, too, will be swept up in the ongoing Yellow Turban Rebellion under Zhang Jue, Bao, and Liang. While his position is stable and relatively peaceful, Liu Chong will need to expand his military with some haste, as he only starts the campaign with a small retinue to his name.

Rise of the Warlords (190)[]
Prince Liu Chong is a warrior whose dedication to his people is matched only by his formidable skill in battle. Whilst other imperial princes choose not to actively govern, Liu Chong gladly rules over his territory, and through his energetic nature and genuine concern, is beloved. As trouble now brews in the imperial court and in the provinces, Liu Chong knows his primary concern is for his people. A prestigious warrior, unafraid of a fight, he readies himself for whatever may come with confidence and zeal!
Start: Easy
Liu Chong starts the campaign in 190 with significantly less territory than in 182, yet he is still in a stable position. After driving Yellow Turban general Gui Yuan from his lands, he is in a good position to reclaim the now-destroyed capital city Luoyang. His border with the weakened Han Empire also allows him to expand southwards. An opponent of Dong Zhuo, he can also head westward and take on the tyrant head-on, though this will be a challenge early on. Liu Chong does have some warlords near him that threaten him, most notably Cao Cao to the east and Yuan Shu to the southwest.

A World Betrayed (194)[]
Liu Chong's formidable reputation abides, as does his loyalty to the Han and his mastery of the crossbow!
Start: Easy
Liu Chong does not have content in the 194 campaign start. He starts at war with Yuan Shu and his vassals Sun Ce and Wu Jing to the south, who together have overwhelming forces compared to the prince. However, Yuan Shu and his vassals are also at war in the south, meaning Liu Chong has some breathing room. An alliance with Cao Cao or Liu Bei to the north might be the easiest way for him to survive in the short term.
