Livestock Farm is a building chain in Total War: Three Kingdoms. Besides simply providing livestock, it gives prestige, food, income from peasantry and reserves. The alternative path provides more food at the cost of some income. Both branches grant a small discount for the construction cost of Military Buildings.
Building Chain[]
Overgrown Pastures (level 0)[]
The people here keep to themselves; untouched and unchecked by the guiding hand of government. The people here are inward looking and able to operate outside of government influence, which has the disadvantage of not knowing what threats lie in wait beyond their boundaries. Establishing an authoritative presence here would do much for the wellbeing of the people, providing both them and the country with additional prosperity.

Pastures (level 1)[]
A place for livestock to graze and grow strong. The healthier the animal, the higher the quality of goods produced from them, and for animals kept as livestock, a regular diet is required. The food produced from farmlands is primarily to feed the population and trade, so livestock are fed by being led to pastures instead. In grazing, these kept animals are closest to their natural lifestyle. These pastures are large expanses covered with various grasses, and the grazing of animals helps manage the land, by keeping weeds and other undesirable plants to a minimum.

Livestock Corral (level 2)[]
Protect your investments from wandering. Livestock produce a variety of goods, such as clothes, food and jewellery. However, they are not particularly intelligent, and even the most domesticated will wander if not properly secured. It is easy to lose beasts to the elements, predators or even rival farmers, thus losing the time and cost invested in rearing them. A small corral will keep them relatively safe – at least from themselves – until they are ready to be shepherded out to pastures for grazing.

Livestock Farm (level 3)[]
Animals as livestock must be nurtured, as with any other crop. The welfare of livestock is directly related to the calibre of goods derived from them, and a livestock farm can provide that care and attention. There are six kinds of domestic animals – chickens, goats, pigs, dogs, cows and horses – and each has a unique set of needs that must be attended to appropriately. Selective breeding ensures a healthy and consistent birth rate, that disease and injuries are treated immediately and that each animal is kept well fed until they are ready.

Livestock Estate (level 4)[]
A farm supported by peasants living on the land. Once a farm has been established, the lands around it can be bought up and expanded into an estate. Small homes are built to rent to local peasants, and the farm becomes somewhat self-sufficient; the peasants find work at the farm and consume the food produced at it, and their rent pays towards the upkeep of the farm, so it can continually expand operations. This micro-economy increases income and food in the province, and the promise of regular work and homes attracts those looking to make a life in China.

Grand Livestock Estate (level 5A)[]
A sprawling estate dedicated to producing the finest livestock. With the support of the local community, the former estate can be built upon into a grand estate, encompassing more homes for workers of the land. The food and goods produced by livestock generates a healthy income to the province, and the estate attracts those looking for work, as well as admirers of the beautiful grounds themselves. The work put into raising animals has been rewarded with a strong economy, and the province is renowned for its produce, and very attractive to those looking to work and raise family.

Livestock Farmstead (level 5B)[]
Extra buildings dedicated to the farming of livestock increase work opportunities. The construction and extension of more farm buildings around the estate means more livestock can be housed and managed, creating more jobs for the local population. The quality of goods produced by the livestock is increased as conditions improve further, justifying higher selling prices. Additional homes are built upon the estate for the new workers, and the cultivation of livestock by people that live, work and subsist on the results makes for an attractive community.
