Nestled amid the arid expanse of Egypt's Western Desert lies this verdant sanctuary, sheltered by the shade of date palms and nourished by natural springs. The Bahiriya oasis owes its cultural and economic vibrancy to nomadic tribes from the eastern edges of Libu lands. Though eager to extend their trade network along the bustling routes of the Nile Valley, the Libu's aggressive conduct often sparks conflict with the ruling Egyptians.

Meshwesh starts the campaign in Wehat Mehtet, its only settlement. They are at war with the neighbouring Libu faction of Farafra, which is slightly weaker. After a brief war, Meshwesh is in a good position to claim abandoned ruins throughout the desert to grow its power base and economy. Its major enemy for the early stages of the campaign is Dungul, the other major Libu faction dominating the southern part of the Western Desert. Between them lie Dakhla and Kharga, two tiny factions that can be either used as diplomatic pawns or conquered with relative ease. If Meshwesh unifies the Libu through diplomacy or force, striking into Egypt is a logical next step. Be prepared for heavy fighting, as diplomacy with the Egyptians is difficult due to differing cultures.
