The Roman expedition is a playable faction featured in The Last Roman Campaign Pack for Total War: Attila.

Description[]

After over a century of losses and defeats, Roman Empire is once again enjoying a period of growth. Justinian I has begun his 'Renovatio Imperii' - a policy intended to reverse Roman fortunes and recover the Western Empire from the Vandals, who have controlled Northern Africa for almost one hundred years, and the Ostrogoths, who now rule Italy. It is into this scene that the Roman general, Belisarius, has been injected - his task to recover all former Imperial territory from the barbarians. There is no better time - the Vandals are beset by rebellion, whilst the Ostrogoths face a dynastic crisis that greatly weakens their position. Belisarius is the man to capitalise on this weakness, and the only man who can restore glory to the troubled Roman Empire - an empire that has been overshadowed by its past for far too long!
