Stone Forest

The Stone Forest is a location in Total War: Three Kingdoms. It is a point of interest in southern China, located in Jiaozhi and Jianning commanderies.

'Shilin' is a vast area of stalagmites, like a forest of stone trees.

Historical Context[]

The Stone Forest, or Shilin in Chinese, is a natural wonder in the Yunnan Province of China. It is a 500 km2 area of upright limestone formations formed by millions of years of complex geological activity and erosion. The Stone Forest has inspired many scholars and artists throughout Chinese history and has had a significant cultural impact. It is also home to many unique species of flora and fauna, some of which are endangered and do not live anywhere outside of the area. The Stone Forest remains a popular tourist destination in modern times and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
