Sword Skirmishers (Danaans)

Sword Skirmishers are a type of infantry unit in a Total War Saga: Troy.

Description[]

Introduced in the Late Bronze Age, the slashing or ‘grip-tongue’ sword would remain a fixture of battlefields the world over well into the Iron Age, five centuries later. Sturdy enough to cut through armour and flesh alike, the weapon was a favourite of both Achaean and Trojan soldiers, and was carried by everyone from skirmishers to heavy infantry. For archers, a blade was often their last hope of survival when the enemy closed the gap and engaged them at close quarters.
