What do we know about this game?[]

What do we know about Total War: Arena? And where do we get this information? I'm assuming one of us here has signed up to be a Beta test player?

I am playing the game. Nanomat (talk) 17:02, November 22, 2015 (UTC)

I think it would help to have a list of things we need to know too. I posted a photo today of the basic Roman tech tree I'm using in game to pull stats from for the unit pages but I can't see things like prices for units I haven't unlocked or experience requirements for items and troop upgrades I've already obtained. I'm keeping track now, but I'm going to have some holes in my info. We can probably get away with a single page for all consumables just divided up by faction. If you need any help making a template for an infobox, I'd love the practice making one to your specs. I just watched a ton of tutorials this morning.

Beta stats.[]

Beta keys are freely available on the site. I'm using info from mouseovers in the current version. They're subject to change at any time, but I want to start filling out some unit stat tables using current tech-tree mouseover info. I'll be slowly adding info this way but maybe we should keep a running reminder at the top of all pages with stats clarifying they are the last verified stats and not necessarily correct.

I've added a unit infobox template that should cover all the available stats in Total War: Arena. I converted over the basic wikia format I'm using from Total War: Rome II's unit infoboxes and trimmed the stats that aren't used and added some new attribute fields. Any Aesthetic changes or suggestions are welcome. Check it out at:

Also, below is the Roman Army tech tree I'm using to build the pages (mouseovers not shown for space sake):

I'd appreciate some suggestions for categories for the unit pages I have started filling in. (Check the Militia Swords, Italian Swordsmen, Vigiles, and Rorarii) The naming conventions are a bit baffling to me currently between the community forums for the other Total War games (not sure why they'd need to conform, they're different games with different units and stats) so someone else can stress over categories for these guys. I'm not going to get into a fight over it either way

Hey Robo,

For now, please just tag the unit page under the game it is from, and article stub (unless you're confident that all information and images are already present). I need to know more about how the game works in order to accurately assess what kind of categories we have here. Unfortunately, everyone else who is an admin are relatively inactive on the wiki, but we could try contacting them for suggestions. Brainwasher5 (talk) 08:01, December 5, 2015 (UTC)

Sources[]

I'd be more than happy to do any of the grunt work doing editing for unit descriptions and the like if you guys could find me a reliable source. I don't have access to the game though thanks to my computer being ancient and probably not being able to run it. Brainwasher5 (talk) 02:35, December 7, 2015 (UTC)
