Tuscany is a faction in Napoleon: Total War. It appears only in the Italy Campaign.
General Information[]
Tuscany controls two regions in the southern portion of the map, sandwiching Lucca's lone region and bordering the Papal States to the north and east, and Piedmont-Sardinia to the west. As it holds no regions that France needs, nor is it in the way of its objectives, attacking Tuscany is purely optional.
Should Tuscany be destroyed, it cannot reemerge.
Diplomacy[]
Tuscany may offer an alliance with France, particularly on easier settings, and on harder settings it may declare war on France. It almost always allies with Lucca and often also allies with the Papal States.
Below is a chart of grievances and friendships other factions have toward Tuscany (factions that are not listed are neutral). Both positive and negative values diminish by 1 per turn over time.

Military[]
Similarly to most of the other Italian factions, Tuscany fields line infantry, grenadiers, militia, heavy cavalry, and a small selection of artillery. It lacks light infantry and light cavalry.
