Zhang Yang is a non-playable faction in Total War: Three Kingdoms. It starts the campaign in northern China, located in Shangdang commandery. The faction exists in 190 and 194. Gaining a rank as a duke, king, or emperor will rename the faction to Zhongshan.

190 - Zhang Yang (Green), Enemies (Red)
Zhang Yang starts the campaign in Shangdang commandery. He is at war with the Han Empire under Dong Zhuo. His options to expand are limited, as he is a rather weak warlord. Most likely, he will be conquered or subjugated by Yuan Shao to the east of him.

A World Betrayed (194)[]

194 - Zhong Yang (Green), Li Jue (Dark Blue), Fellow Vassals (Light Blue), Enemies (Red)
Zhang Yang starts the World Betrayed campaign slightly further to the east, now based out of Henei commandery. He is a vassal of the late Dong Zhuo's successor, Li Jue, who also controls the Han Empire. He will most likely remain idle in Li Jue's war against Ma Teng. Zhang Yang might become the victim of an attack by Yuan Shao, who borders him to the north.
